Grow Colorful and Edible Ornamental Flowering Kale
Ornamental blooming kale, sometimes called as ornamental cabbage, is flexible and beautiful in containers and gardens.
introduction
Purple, pink, and white ruffled leaves characterise flowering kale. It's mostly planted for adornment but is delicious.
STEP 1
Ornamental cabbage: Looks like flowering kale but grows more compactly. It has colourful, slightly textured leaves.
STEP 2
Ornamental kale grows best in lower temps, so plant it in late summer to early autumn for winter harvest. It can be grown in early spring in moderate areas.
STEP 3
Sunlight: Grow ornamental kale in broad sun to partial shade. It needs 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
STEP 4
Transplant seedlings into the garden or larger containers when they are 4-6 weeks old and have two sets of true leaves. To accommodate maturity, space plants 12-18 inches apart.
