When you hear the term disability, the first thing that comes to mind would be physical disability. This is because, most often than not, we perceive that people with physical disabilities are the individuals who would have the hardest time coping with everyday living and societal interactions.
It pays to take note that there are also other forms of disabilities such as mental, intellectual, and sensory disabilities, and chronic health conditions.
The sad truth is that even with modern day technology and laws, individuals with disabilities tend to be overlooked by the society. Their needs are usually not met when in fact they have the right to everyday living and societal interactions due them as a human being similar to that of the normal individual.
It is with this in mind that the Southwest ADA Disability Legal Center was founded by Elinor Legros in Warren, Michigan. The center aims to provide legal advocacy for Michigan’s disabled individuals.
If you need legal consultation or have any inquiries with regards to legalities concerning disabled individuals, then know that you are not alone. The Southwest ADA Disability Legal Center is here to help you out.
